Email Marketing Tips to Grow Your MLM Business

Today I am going to share with you how to grow your MLM business online with email marketing.

Here they are:

Always ask for permission before you send the to email your customers.

This is when people sign up for your free report or newsletter.

Send emails to those who have opted-in:

This is where a confirmation email message is sent to the subscriber, who in turn must reply to the message for the opt-in to be activated.

Allow subscribers to opt-out:

Make the unsubscribe a simple process and you must include a link in every message that allows the user to opt-out easily.

Let subscribers to express what they want to hear from you:

What information do they want to read that is related to MLM industry? What training they need? How often would they like to receive your newsletter? etc….

Remind me who you are & how I got on your list:

Sometimes people subscribe to loads of newsletters and forget how they got there.

Just include a short phrase in which you are explaining how the user got on your list and why they’re receiving your emails.

Make Sure Your Email Has Obvious Links:

The purpose of your email is to drive traffic to your MLM business‘ landing page,  product page or website. Without driving clicks to your page or website, users can’t convert to sign-ups or customers.

You should have at least 3 links in your emails: top, middle and bottom line should always end with a link. It could be a special offer,a bonus,webinar, even the web address of your website.

Tuesday / Wednesday = Increased Response

Studies conducted by online research analysts have shown that the best days to perform a mail-out to your list are Tuesday and Wednesday, as this is when people are more receptive to communication. This means that they are more likely to read your content and click on links, meaning more sales.

On Mondays, everyone is still recovering from a hectic weekend. On Thursday and Friday, people are already too busy looking forward to the weekend.

Ask your subscribers to add you to their contact list.

Regularly remind your subscribers that if they don’t want to miss on the important information you send to them, they must add your email address to their email contact list.

Link-Click Testing

When creating marketing emails, try using different text for both content and links. Also try re-positioning images such as logos and buttons. After sending about 3 different emails, compare the click-thru stats and see which one worked best. Now, when you need to send marketing emails in the future, you know that you will be sending the right mix of content and images that will attract the most click-thrus, and ultimately the most sales.

Web Version of your emails

You should always have a copy of the mailer residing on a web server and add a message at the top of your emails that says something like “Click here if you are unable to read the email”. On click, the user should be taken to the web version of the mailer.

This is important because many a times certain email clients do not open the images in the mailer. With a web version, you ensure that the user’s experience in going through the mailer is not hampered.

HTML and Text Version

You should always create a text version along with your HTML version of the mailer. This is because many email clients have certain restrictions in displaying HTML mailer, so there is high probability that your text version of the mailers is delivered to such users.

Tell a Story

“In All Marketers Are Liars”, Godin emphasizes the importance of storytelling as a successful marketing strategy. Email offers the opportunity to tell the story in continuous installments.

“Email marketers don’t have a prayer to tell a story,” Godin says, “unless they tell it in advance, in another medium, before they get permission. Otherwise, it quickly becomes spam. The best email marketing starts with a foundation, like Amazon, and uses the email to drip the story, to have it gradually unfold.”

You could also include testimonials where your customers will share their own experiences on using your products, will talk about your MLM business, how you have helped them to achieve success.
